ABOUT  US     

Established in 1986 - known as Retro Dance since 1988 - we have taught dancing to thousands of people in various locations around Sydney - Ashfield, Bankstown, Bondi, Bronte, Burwood, City, Leichhardt, Maroubra, Neutral Bay, North Sydney, Rose Bay, Stanmore, Strathfield, etc. Over the years we have consistently attracted a dynamic clientele to whom we are thoroughly committed. This success has only been made possible by our professional approach to all aspects of running a dance school.

Our  teachers are  highly and  regularly trained  in all areas of dance techniques, dance history, stretching, accident prevention and public relations. To ensure that our students are not  tutored in obscure or isolated styles of dancing, our syllabus and techniques  are sought from internationally respected  professional  bodies such as; International Dance Teacher’s Association (IDTA), National Dance Teachers Association - US, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) - England.

We specialise in social dancing  with less emphasis put on routines for performance. The style we teach generally requires less floor space. Students are examined, if at all, through a less formal system. 

Contrary to routine dancing we believe in individual interpretation of music and self-expression. Through group lessons we fulfil the major need of people, that is deliver the social aspect of dancing. What makes us unique is that we blend the traditional old European standard of excellence with Australian sense of fun and frivolity.
